Cheap synthesizers? looking entry level noob synth

For what it's worth, I got started in a synth setup with Korg Volcas and still find them a lot of fun. The keyboard on those is similar to the Behringer and is serviceable if all you're looking to do is make noise and have fun without being precise or playing complex melodies. I still like messing with the Volca Keys

They are definitely fun. Especially hooked up to 100w tube amp with a full stack. I actually started playing my sisters tube organ back in 1964 and got a guitar in 67. Used a Keyboard hooked up to a PC for my first synth and it sucked. It was so laggy. I have a Korg Kross 2 now. It's got a lot of good features.....

My brother pre ordered one of these from sweetwater. I will give an update upon arrival. I will cross this off the absurdly long GAS list or GAS bill as I have begun callin it hahaha

Check out the Korg volcas. I have three of them. They are too much fun.
I got the Beats to practice guitar with a drum track. Then I got the Keys to make the weird synth notes. Then I got the Sample cause I wanted another volca. I still haven’t used them to their full potential. But you can find them used under $200.
I enjoy the touch pad keyboard on them. But I found a cheap 90’s Casio that connected via midi. I used that for a year, but it was flimsy. That lead me to the Yamaha cp. a Wurlitzer, Rhodes, with built in ex controls. Anyway. Synths are a blast. Have fun

I had a micro korg and sold it years ago. Also wanted to get back into synths for idea creation and got the Nektar Impact LX25. It was under $100 when I got it in November. It's a midi keyboard that I run through GarageBand and it also comes with Bitwig, which is another DAW. It's a ton of fun to play and I've downloaded tons of sounds for it. Haven't spent a dime on anything since I bought it and it's given me endless hours of fun.
