Chorus w/ mid boost

Hello, everyone. I would like to try building a Chorus (CE2) with a mid boost (I was thinking of the Xotic EP) in the same pedal, keeping it simple with just one switch and two knobs (one for chorus depth and one for mid boost amount). I have experience with assembly and PCBs, but I have never designed a pedal circuit from scratch. What is the right approach?

Combining two PCBs from the pedals mentioned into a single chassis seems unfeasible to me, also for reasons of space (i'd like to keep it boss/mxr sized if possible). Is this something that can be done? If I wanted to try to create a new circuit based on the two existing ones that I found online, how would you advise me to proceed? Thank you all.

Since you want to keep this as simple as possible (in terms of controls), I think the first decision is which comes first—boost or chorus? I’d experiment with two pedals, and decide that. Potentially, assuming you’re not planning on original circuits, you could also use these, via where you’ve got all the pots set (for the controls you don’t want to have on your pedal) to know about what resistors to bake into the combined circuit.

I haven’t done this yet, but I have a few ideas that involve two or more PCBs in a 125B.

Use long-legged PCB-mount pots for the larger PCB. This gives you more space to add a circuit underneath it. Everything will probably need low-profile electros.
