Clear light plates for enclosures

Has anyone ever used the perspex(?) light plates? ( http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/light-plates-pre-drilled-various-sizes/ )
If so, I'd love some advice on best practises for:
How best to mount the LEDs that will be used to light up the plate?
If using multiple LEDs connected to the PCB for On/Off is it as simple as connecting Annode to Annode, Cathode to Cathode for say 4 or so LEDs?

Just drill a 5 mm hole in the center of the plate.

Take a water clear 5 mm led sand the top down so the light comes out all sides.

Then you can connect LEDs in series. You may have to change the clr though if you use more than one led.
