Built this one for Brazilian guitarist Sergio Buss, who played guitar with Steve Vai for years! Figured out the layout using some pictures from the web, but had to debug the pedal for hours, until I found out the 2 central pins of the transformers should be isolated from the rest of the circuit 
Went with a TI 2n404 hFE 89 for the GE! Sounds great
