Converted FRANTONE HepCat from center positive to negative and ended up replacing most of the off board parts.

Finally got around to converting this for my friend. It was pretty straightforward, and I ended up replacing every wire and jack. The wires were so skinny that they kept breaking on me and several were broken before I even got started – it was the main reason he wanted me to look at it to at least get it working. I went ahead and replaced both input and output jacks as they were worn out and corroded, and used a new 3PDT foot switch with the breakout board to make it a little easier instead of the original 2PDT. I replaced the LED with a brighter one and ended up running it straight from the power to the foot switch as I couldn’t get it to work off the board for whatever reason.

All in all, a couple hours and now he’s got a dependable HepCat to use.

Merry Xmas everyone!

After: not the most prettiest wiring, but it wasn’t that organized to begin with.
