I've seen at least one build report for this already so I know I'm not the first.
This was in a dump of Gerber's from @szukalski, he said it's his favorite EQ pedal, so of course I HAD to build it! :)

The circuit is an original circuit designed by dylan159 from FSB and I think Dave has a couple different layouts for it.
Circuit-wise there's not a lot going on and it's a fairly simple build but man, it sounds GREAT!

Essentially it's a light boost with a cool parametric mid control, then wrapped up with a Baxandall EQ.

I recently built the Equilux Mini (which is supposed to emulate a studio console Pultec eq. Ever since building it, it's been my goto "last pedal in the chain".

The Core Shaper is different in that it's voiced more for guitar and the parametric mid sweep can change the nature of your tone dramatically from "cocked wah" to crunchy. There's a Q toggle switch for a narrower band or wider band. Whereas the Equilux is more of a general purpose EQ pedal that can be used on anything you want in the studio, from vocals, to keys, drums, etc.

The Equilux has a "mastered" sound that is truly addicting to play, but the Core Shaper will help cut through a mix better I think.
The way I'm using the Core Shaper is a bit more pedestrian, just "touching up" the EQ with a bit of mid scoop before it hits the front end of my preamp.

So it's always good to have options!

The 3 pedals I have in my chain as "last pedal in the chain" or more accurately my "post dirt boosts" is my Clandestine Preamp, the Equilux, and now the Core Shaper.

@szukalski's layouts are reaching legendary status, having been building his boards for a couple of years now and watching him get better and better. I love his faceplates too!

Ripped bad ass babe lights up well through the faceplate.

Many thanks to Dave and Dylan for another cool pedal!

Oh and you know the drill, I have some spares (faceplates too) just DM me if you want a set.
