Dagger/Scabbard sort of..

I've heard good things about the Dagger OD so thought I'd try something. I like simplification so rather than using two single op-amp chips I tried using a single dual op-amp. It may (will probably) sound different but that's ok - this was a bit of an experiment. Now I want to try building the original to hear how different they are. The circuit is a lot higher gain than I normally use but it is a lot of fun and sounds amazing with my Les Paul.

One thing I didn't have on hand was an 8U inductor. This pedal is fairly noisy when cranked so I wonder if the inductor might help keep the noise down? To be honest the sound doesn't do anything for me past noon on the gain knob but below noon there are some cool sounds to be had. It's entirely possible I've buggered something up in doing it this way too! But below noon on the gain it sounds really good and I'm gonna keep it - may try it with an inductor too. And I used BAT41s instead of Ge for the diodes because I don't trust myself with Ge diodes - they break too easily in my hands.
