De minimus mail from Europe to US halted

Check this out, the US has announced that it will cancel tariff-free de minimus mail effective this Friday, BUT it hasn't made clear who collects the tariff, how to report it, and so on. Hence much of Europe, and potentially other countries/regions, will stop sending small mail packages to the US until the US government makes the details clear.

What incredible nonsense, when you make new rules you also have to create and write down all the details.
DUH!
But not if your skin is orange...

Some people would rather have nothing than a brown female president (in a tan suit) with a competent administration.

This is I believe is why Roland are pushing their Extortion pedal - everything in one box that can be unlocked means you're not shipping 5 pedals, each with their own cost but one and then tax is more efficient through digital transactions (however that too is under fire).

In the UK this also applies, so all the hammond enclosures and any mouser components orders etc become more expensive. It's likely to push builders in the EU/UK to local options. Typically the increased taxation to products going US side then see the equivalent for imported US goods.
For the UK under £136 isn't subject to the 12% tax, however that could disappear shortly.

Currently digital tax means around 2%, however if that's abolished then we'd see that rise too. It would mean all the electronic transactions for gaming consoles, for financial services, and the cost for guitar Extortion pedals/modelling amps etc would rise for US customers.
