Hi all -
I'm getting ready to tackle a Dead End FX Calypso (Spaceman Explorer phaser clone), and I see that the build docs specify a 10mm water clear green LED for the LFO which isn't available from the usual sources, and only in quantities of 1000 from the un-usual sources.
Here's a link to the data sheet:
Tayda has an "ultra-bright", which appears to be way brighter than the speced part, 14,000 mcd vs 345-485 mcd, as well as having a lower peak wavelength, 525 nm vs 570.
For the LED/LFO gurus here, how critical are the brightness and exact color for optical LFO operation?
Thanks in advance!
