Man. I had forgotten what this much offboard wiring was like.
So this was an older, USA-made wah enclosure. But...whoever used it last had painted it in a shoddy two tone hammertone finish. Blech.
So...I decided to give painting it with rattle cans a shot. The result? Man - I don't have the patience for paint. Lots of little imperfections, but fuck, the chameleon effect is strong and I'm digging it nonetheless.
Still some work to be done - I'm thinking an aluminum diamond plate tread with a stickman cutout. I'm gonna CNC a heavier bottom plate for it too so I can slap some Velcro on there.
I just finished wiring this thing up, I tore out my first attempt with 100% ribbon cables because it was straight up bullshit and I feared the wrath of all in good fun...
But imma still gonna use quick connects and terminal blocks. Because serviceability and strain relief. And cause I want to.
Haven't actually plugged her in yet to do the final test...it's like...3am. Can't sleep. Woof.
