I've got a ton of LEDs that need to be used. I want to make my wife a small (maybe 10" tall) wooden Christmas tree with LEDs all over (not the super bright ones). I've got a 9v battery snap and plenty of hookup wire. The easy way is to wire these all in series with a resistor beforehand, but run the risk of the whole tree going out if one blows for some reason. How would I run these in parallel?
I know there are soldering kits to do this that use transistors I believe and wondering if I have to go this route as well. I see this schematic requires 4.5v so I can just throw a big resistor after the battery. I think the transistors are for voltage gain here?
