Had fun with this one! Tried some new olive drab paint which turned out quite nice
I wanted to do gold accents for this, and had a couple of leftover switch caps that were silver. I moved the enclosure what I thought was far enough away, but a stiff breeze had other thoughts.
Turned out pretty cool, like fools gold! So I rolled with it.
Next was a little text
Then we are on to final assembly. This went easier than expected. I installed the power jack first. Next I pushed the leds through and secured them with tape. Originally, I tried to put the jacks in the enclosure and fit the pcb over, but that was not working out. I ended up installing the jacks on the pcb, and then pushing them into the holes in the enclosure. The pcb slid in like a cassette.
Next time I would drill a slightly large hole for the power jack. That way the plastic power jack housing would be more secure against the enclosure. I would drill much smaller holes for the led light tubes, but this is my first time using them.
