Dualpedal switching between potentiometers?

I like the nein pedal with drive fuzz and sag on different settings. Anyone experience with using a relay for switching between settings?
For me just building another one would be the easy way and a/b between them in one enclosure

Placing both the VOL and GAIN potentiometers on a single switch can cause problems—depending, of course, on where they are located within the circuit and the strength of the signals present. It is better to separate them using two relays: one for VOL and another for GAIN. Then you can easily control both relays using a single switch.

I think only swapping the wiper is going to cause the pots to interact and will pop.
Hardwire lug 1 and the resistor to ground and switch lugs 2 and 3 on each either via a 4pdt or 2 relays.
You can use dual concentric pots to keep the footprint low.
It's going to pop.
You could wire a second pot as a variable resistor it parallel to lugs 2 and 3 of the stock pots. Just make break the connection to the stock lug 2 on each. Keep the other side of the variable resistors hardwired. They're going to interact but won't pop nearly as bad(maybe not at all) and won't dropout when switched. Treat the variable resistors as the higher gain channel. They will reduce the resistance between lugs 2 and 3, increasing drive/output. Unless you want to be able to trim more output(volume pot) for higher gain, then you'll want the variable resistor pot connected to lugs 1 and 2. I think. The high gain pots won't affect the low gain pots but the low gain pots will affect the high gain pots some.
