Say I have a three pin toggle that I have no intention of ever switching, can I just jumper the through holes 1&2 to make it the same as having a switch in place set to that connection? In my head this sounds too simple to work so I had to ask you guys, the professionals.
Yep, just make sure you jumper the correct two pads.
When a standard SPDT toggle switch is in the Up position it's the Center and Bottom lugs that are connected together, and Center / Top lugs when the switch is Down.

This is a piece of "common knowledge" that I didn't come across until I was way deep into the hobby, and it comes up in most builds. Would make a great addition to the Wiki!
