Put this one together, don’t do too many build reports anymore but I ran into an issue with this one and since I dont see any mention of it anywhere I figured I’d write it up in case someone does.
So I of course didn’t test this before boxing it. Got it all boxed up. And go to test everything and the 50hz knob below 9 and above 3 causes the pedal to go dead. First reflowed the pot solder joints no difference, then I measured in circuit reads pretty much like the rest of them. IC voltages are good. So I pull the pedal back apart. The pots have this post on them.
C21 is the only electro spaced cap that lays under the pots. That support post shorts C21, the film pots have a lead spacing wide enough that it doesn’t matter. Bent the post a little problem solved. Probably should’ve noticed that in building it. But I didn’t so figured I’d share.
Pedal sounds great. It’s an eq nothing to exciting. Def would use the center detent pots as he recommends, as I did and would be annoying without. I do wish there was a little more space between the knobs, but that would require a bigger enclosure. Anyways…
