Electric Druid Sourcing

Built a pedal around Electric Druid's STOMPLFO only to check website and see that they are not shipping to the states due to tariffs.

I don't know how long ago that decision was made but I know there was a recent ruling that the tariffs are illegal.

Is it a safe bet to order from them now? Is there somewhere else I could source those parts from?

Looks like Synthcube stocks some Electric Druid stuff in the US:

The stated reason for the Portuguese PO not shipping to the US is the abrupt end of the De Minimus exemption for packages valued under $800. This is a separate issue from the particular IEEPA tariffs that were struck down.

Basically:
• ending De Minimus sucks, but doing so wasn’t illegal (in fact the Biden administration had apparently floated the idea of ending it at some point)
• De Minimus probably isn’t coming back, so some duties will probably always be owed regardless of package value
• foreign post offices will probably figure this out, but it might not be quick, because it was done abruptly and the US isn’t trying to help at all with the transition
• individual overseas sellers can estimate the tariff, roll it into your shipping costs, and pay US Customs for you, to make buying from overseas less uncertain/painful. But this obviously takes resources, so it’s unlikely that small businesses are going to be willing/able to offer such a service

Yeah, the tariffs stink. I had to have Tom refund my order I thought I had gotten in before the deadline but the order got stuck in the Portugal post office right when the tariffs were put into effect.:mad:
