Hey everyone! I finished this pedal awhile back and really enjoy it - so I thought I would run some sweeps on it and share those for anyone interested:


Sweeps of Max Hi Cut settings across frequency switch settings

Sweeps of Hi Boost Bandwidth settings, Narrow vs Wide

Yes, but is basically what you did here:


The original design of the pultec EQP-1A was not meant to boost and attenuate the low frequency at the same time. This is directly from the operating instructions:


But the studio engineers that used the pultec EQ because of its multiple controls and wide curves, would use the low boost and atten knobs at the same time to do the "Pultec trick".
By boosting and attenuating at the same time, both responses are combined. The result is a sharper increase in the lows with a sharper cut in the low-mids / mids.
