Faux Roto Combo (Cepheid & Woodpecker)

Where to begin with this lol 🙄🙄

So I’ve been using my Caesar build going into my Diamond TRM-1 (THE best tremolo pedal IMO) when I want a rotary type of tone. I figured I could do a Cepheid and a trem and make a cool combo for myself. The Woodpecker was the most popular trem on the site and I like EQD, so I bought it without really looking into it. Turns out I hate that it’s a sawtooth wave and it’s wayyyyy too choppy for what I was going for. I’ll probably swap the Woodpecker for the Pendulum Harmonic Tremolo (with an order switcher to fill the hole) and see how that goes.

Initially wanted to fit this into a 1590BB, but thought expression control over the trem’s speed would be nice to have, and I didn’t want the headache of shoving that all in there. BUT…I get no change until I’m 90% down to toe. Probably some posts in here I could read to find out how to make that type of mod more useful.

Now for the good!! shoutout to @Cybercow for the LFO indicator led mod on the Woodpecker. Also, always hated cutting out the holes for LEDs and I’m not wanting to use bezels lately, so I’m letting them shine through the fabric from now on.

I used to have a black label CE-2 back in the day, so I really wanted the MN3007/MN3101 chipset.

Blue is speed. Red is depth. Orange is volume.
