For parts or not working

If you are in the mood for some pedal repairs or just want to harvest parts and enclosures:

I search the ‘Non-Functioning’ Effects & Pedals about once a week to see if there are any deals or easy fixes. Most listers way overvalue their broken crap, but I have found the occasional good deal a few times.
For sure. I got a modded SD1 that’s almost functioning but haven’t had time to figure out what’s wrong with it. The price was decent. But I also got a Boss chorus that was a bit overpriced for its condition.

I don't know about anywhere else but the prices people are asking for broken stuff in the UK which in their words is "an easy fix" is laughable. Well, apart from the broken BBE wah I missed out on last week for £10, it sold within 10 mins of it being listed.

It seems like most people want to knock like 20% off their broken pedal when really they should be knocking 80% off. If someone says it's an easy fix, they don't know what they're talking about, otherwise they would have fixed it
Seriously. In general, people value anything they own wayyyyy too much. If I have no use for something want to get rid of it, I want bottom dollar just to get it out of my possession and maybe get some pocket change. I don’t need to make a huge profit on every single transaction I make in my lifetime. If I’ve had my use of something and someone else can use it, take it!

The funniest thing is that Boss Bass Eq still has the serial number on the back while the rest of it is destroyed

I paid $45 for a less than cosmetically perfect, but working wah just for the enclosure. If I had need of 2 more wah shells, it might be worth it. Although bass wah……..

Yeah, I’d only charge the guy $20 to take that pile off his hands.
