Gotta say this first: not my first rodeo, but my first rodeo that I didn't fall off, get trampled, and throw the bull in the trash. First build that just worked when I put it together. Having a whole ecosystem with power I/O and footswitch PCBs makes things so easy. The hardest part of the whole build was sourcing 1/4" jacks. The were out of stock on the website when I ordered my boards. They were still out of stock when I placed a Tayda order, so I got some from Amazon. That was a mistake, so I made another Tayda order and those worked out just fine.
I'm a graphic designer/printer and my day job is printing pedals so don't judge my soldering too hard on this. The last pedal I made was over 10 years ago.
When I finished the build I had to wait almost a week until band practice because my bass amps are at the practice space. I've preached the gospel of the Peavey Century 200H for the better part of 31 years. I own three of them because sometimes you really need 300 watts. I finally got a period-correct Peavey 115 to go with it. Cutting out all the inaudible low frequencies seems to make my amp run cooler and be a little louder. The mids are just more there. When switch on the IdiotBox No Moon there's no harsh fry high end.
Now I want to build one into a little Hammond 1454 with a DI box.
