My submission for the Player Hater's Ball contest. I've been waiting to find something that fits the criteria. I built this one a few months ago and it didn't work right so it just sat in its unfinished enclosure. It was one of my first bigger stripboard builds. Not that its big, the offboard wiring adds challenges. And the mess inside and the lack of proper connections shows.
I decided instead of building something up from what I had, I'd restore one of the duds from the box o' shame. This circuit rules so I really wanted this to work. Freed it from its prison, cleaned with alcohol and resoldered cold joints and fixed bridges. Good as new. Threw on a coat of gray paint I had laying around. Tossed on some splatter and bam.
I believe this was from a V1 layout that had the bias trim pot inside. So I moved it externally like the V2. Glad I did because it really adds the ability to get the broken fuzz tones.
It's based on the Massif circuit with the tone stack and output stage of an EHX Tall Font Russian. Sounds great.
There are some real good builders here so I highly doubt I have a chance but wanted to try. I think it fits all the requirements plus the inside looks like shit. Prime for hate.
