Frost substitution question

I recall that Chuck Bones suggesting substituting an A1M pot for the D1M pot for the DRIVE in the Frost as the D1M can be more difficult to find yet the taper is roughly similar. Given some of the discussions and modifications to the design surrounding the MID control I want to confirm that this is still an operative substitution. Can anybody verify?

If you're asking if the A1M is still a good sub, then the answer is "yes." The DRIVE pot taper and MID pot mods are independent.
