Here's another one I built a while back and never got around to posting a built report. Shame on me since it's such a great sounding pedal.
So, yes, it's just another YATS with the input buffer stripped out.
The soft clippers is a 914 + 1N4005, or otherwise known as the "@HamishR Clipping Arrangement" hahaha.
I actually sat on this board for years before building it. Again shame on me. I was expecting a lot less than what the pedal delivers.
I figured it was just another TS-variant (which it is). Tonally it's voiced somewhat like the Fulldrive series but it sounds much better to me.
Essentially it's a high gain Tube Screamer but it's the end result is much greater than the sum of it's parts.
It's voiced very well and it's got that "Robin Trower in a box" type of sound that I can't "un-hear" heh. But it's an awesome, chewy, overdrive.
Throw a Electrovibe in front of it and it's hard not to riff on "Bridge of Sigh's".
Highly recommended build!
