I don't normally name my pedals but this one was christened NSFW
because it's the BBC-1
I tried out some metallic paints on these. I'm not a fan of the consistency of the metallic as they need at least two coats for good coverage, but it came out pretty decent. I off boarded one of the pots so I can get the cool asymmetrical random utility vibe going. The knobs are labeled and of course I forget if the labels correspond to their knobs horizontally or vertically.
Here's the gut shot. Lately I've been doing the trim pot for the LED. Soldering the transistor was interesting. I had to take off the ol glasses but I did it by tinning all 3 pads, then placing the component on them, using my pliers or a screwdriver to hold the component, then melt the solder on one side, then the other. This image was taken before I set the bias trim
It's a fun boost. It sounds great before a uni vibe or flanger, or any modulation. It doesn't really stack well with drive pedals the way I'd like so I don't have it on my board, but this one came out nice so I'll hang on to it and revisit it later on.
