Fuzz Foundry Deluxe - 8 Position Fat Switch

Can someone tell me exactly what this is doing for the circuit? There are some settings that are noisier than others and obviously changes the tone, but I wanted to have a better understanding of it.

I find all the way to the right almost cuts out some noise from the circuit. So that would be position 8? I mean I figured it had something to do with the bass response but they all react differently to everything else there is to tweak. Kinda crazy.
