It's acceptable unless you try to push the rate up high.
Some delays will crackle if you modulate the Time via pot. You can correct it with smoothing, but in turn you sacrifice rate.
Another approach is to modulate the clock, this won't crackle but affects the entire algorithm rather than just a single parameter.

Do you know roughly the rate at which you can go before it crackles? Is 10Hz/100ms going to be too much to ask?
As for modulating they clock - that’s an interesting idea! I’ll have to search around for it.
My basic intent is to treat the FV1 like a basic memory piece - using the full range of delay 1ms -1s, using it sort of like a BBD and doing all the other filtering and LFO externally.
