FxCore is great

Got behind with a lot of things that have come up, but it has been moving forward. Final boards done, testing almost complete, updating assembler to work with the board, finishing firmware for RP2040-zero board (provide USB HID interface and USB drive emulation for systems that do not support WEB HID in a browser), etc. Basically all the details to provide a complete, working development system. It is stereo in (TRS) then separate left and right outs so will work as mono in/out. View attachment 118540
Hi,frank. You mentioned you could send pictures of a finished FXcore card; we would like to see photos of your pedal. Regards.

Lost track of time from finishing the updates to the tools and other things so it will have to wait as I am literally going out the door for a few weeks away. I can say we did builds using PCBs from JLC and had boxes drilled at Tayda so we will be sharing the drill file/template/whatever Tayda calls it when we return in a few weeks. JLC has most of the components so you can have them stuff most of the surface mount parts for you, a few like the FXCore you will need to do yourself but it is not too difficult. The tools do support the pedal now, there are a few updates to the tools, one important one that allows us to use the same library function multiple times in a program, handy for things like the graphic EQ example (5-band, +/-12db per band).

Thank. Frank.Do sites like JLC and pcbway supply and assemble the FXcore chip, or do we have to source it ourselves? This chip isn't available on Chinese sites and isn't widely available, frankly.

We have sent FXCore chips to JLCPCB to include in assemblies for our customers many times (using the JLCPCB "Parts Consignment" process). It is really quite easy: https://cabintechglobal.com/jlcpcb-consgn

I am not sure if other assemblers have similar processes, but I would expect so.
