A while ago, a fine gentleman you might know as @fig sent me a goodie bag containing components to breadboard and build a Germanium Fuzz Face.
I then designed this little tribute in a 1590B format to keep the "face" factor.
I had some time lately and I'm doing some Vero builds, so I went with this one first.
I must admit I failed the first part of this assignment poorly as I didn't breadboard the circuit, BUT, I did learn how to convert a simple schematic to tagboard AND how to use DIY Layout Creator.
Not my tidiest build, but I was glad it fired up without problems. Sounds great, many thanks Tim!
This one will be going to a great friend who sold all his gear years ago, save one guitar, so hopefully this puts him back on the right path...
Also, it's a good day to finish a Ge FF, as it coincides with the 55th anniversary of the release of "Are You Experienced?"
Finally, this experience has prompted me to break out the breadboard, and I'm starting to have some ideas of what I want to try.
