Gerkin Fuzz A470k pot

Hi guys. Any of you who have built the Gerkin Fuzz, what did you do for the A470k pot that is used for the Crunch control?
I have been trying to source a 470k everywhere and cant track one down. Is it possible to use a 500 in its place?

If you have a multimeter you can measure the pots and probably find a 500k that measures 470k... they vary quite a bit especially the ones from Tayda...
