Guardian sounds harsh what to do. SUCCESS

I didn't put this in the troubleshooting section because the pedal works just fine but has a very harsh quality to the overdrive especially on chords or notes as they die away.

I've attached a gut shot and my voltages below. I'm a bit perplexed as to what could be causing it. If you were going to start changing parts what you change out and why? I've played a real peacekeeper and it was definitely smoother/less harsh than this

There have been no parts subs from the build doc and the 2n2 cap over the resistor was to test if I had an earlier board which had an issue though this ultimately wasn't the case

YES this thing finally sounds like I expected it to. It was the bloody BC549c. I was not having any joy desoldering it so I had to cut it out then desolder the legs. Put in a socket then another Bc549 and that was it. It sounds great now.

I hopefully have enough leg still on the old one to meter it to see what's wrong with it but when I cut the last leg it flew away and I can't find the damn thing now. My foot will probably find it next time I walk into my workshop barefoot.

At least I can put this on my board for a while to see if it's for me or not.
