Public Service Announcement:

Due to some unanticipated unallocated time this afternoon, I did a proper setup on my Strat. It had been ... a while ... since I last did a proper setup and WOWZA what a difference it makes! Almost like the instrument is a living thing that needs tending now and again rather than being relegated to a dark corner of the basement.

At any rate - in a funk? Notes not quite as sweet as they used to be? Try a setup! You might just be glad you did.

I'm a bit OCD about how my guitars play. Sometimes, I'll pull a guitar off the wall that's been hanging a while and it's not playing optimally, I literally have to drop whatever I'm doing and take it to the bench. It drives me nuts just thinking I have something not playing right, even if I'm not playing it hahaha. Yes, I have a problem.....

I have my luthier, Willy, set my guitars up. He's been on tour with a few performers, Fleetwood Mac, etc. Since it's SoCal, and I have an ample backyard, I can grow my "payment" to my luthier, Willy. lol... It is amazing how much better they play.

And we always chew the fat, it's good....

I have not one, not two, but THREE 12 string guitars that I'm taking next trip...... New strings for the lot as well. I really hate changing strings.....
