This started with an idea to build a kind of two-stage Klon clone with a built in boost in front of it so that I could use the Klon side as a clean boost and then push it into the heavier clipping with the boost. After trying a bunch of different pedals in front of the Kliche mini I found I liked a Tube Screamer set to low gain the best. I used the little green scream machine pcb (a TS-808 clone) but did a Keeley mod and swapped some capacitors and resistors to get a bigger gain range and tighten up the low-end. Getting both boards and all the other parts to fit inside a 1590BB was tough and required using wires to connect all the pots to the boards, side-mounting the audio jacks, and moving the footswitches closer together. It is a mess in there! Sounds exactly like you would expect. Kliche mini side sounds almost exactly like my Tumnus and the LGSM side sounds like an 808.
It works!
It fits! (kind of)
