Information about every aspect of building a transistor based amplifier...

This link will give you all the information you would want on solid-state amplifiers. You may be going, what if I only take tube amps seriously? Well this pdf might still help you. It has about 130 pages dedicated to power amplifiers, and 100 pages about preamps. You need info about how to build a pedalboard power amp? No problem. You need info on how to build cabinets? No problem. You want some basic info on speakers? You're covered. Not to mention this pdf probably has more than 100 diagrams. I haven't counted but there is a lot.
I hope this information helps you out!

Wow there’s so much info in that! The Crowhurst fuzz and the Gallien-Krueger soft clipper thingy look pretty interesting.

Thank you for sharing!

I think you should repost this in the resource thread in the test kitchen
It actually is already there! I think that's where I found it. It was a pretty old post and pretty inaccessible so I thought I should repost it. You can thank Bowanderror for the original post!

It's strange that we still play through tube amps really. You would think that we could make a great sounding transistor amp. I wouldn't mind being able to build a solid amp which didn't need such volatile components as tubes. I absolutely love building my tube amps and love the sound, but worry about using tubes because the availability changes all the time and they are pretty ghastly things for the environment. But as yet I haven't heard a transistor amplifier which sounds as good. I'd like to see a transistor amp which sounded as good as tubes but without modelling.

I used to have a Quilter 101 that was close to Fender for cleans. The new SuperBlock supposedly has a different design and gets much closer to tube amp tones including the overdrive. There are guys claiming they replaced their big tube amps with it. That could just be internet marketing with shill forum accounts though. Or they might be older guys with hearing loss in the treble frequencies. I guess I will find out. I have one on order...
