JST-XH Crimper & Terminals

I use JST connectors once and a while, but the wire they come with tends to be pretty rough (got these a while back). I'd love to crimp my own with decent wire, but there are a bunch of different crimpers and female ends and I want to make sure I get something decent/correct. I have the plastic housings already. Some of the metal crimp terminals seem to be for Molex connectors, but I only really need JST-XH - seems like the ones for Molex are a little longer maybe..? Very similar looking, though.

The ratcheting crimper Robert linked to (and liked) is no longer available, but I'm looking at both Amz and Tayda for a decent ratcheting tool and some (correct) female terminals. If you use something like this, let me know what you like!

This looks like the same tool, but not the same connector kit.

I honestly didn't even use the connector kit that came with mine, I order what I need each time.

I still like it just as much as I did when I posted last time, and it's held up great..... because that's the only time I've ever used it. :ROFLMAO:

Ha... well, in that case I'm surprised ya didn't just use pliers! Yep looks like the parts are all Dupont/Molex, but the tool itself seems to be the one you got. For crimped ends, I assume you got something like this?

The once or twice I've used it I just ordered what I needed from Tayda at the time I think.
Gotcha. Just noticed the smallest wire recommended for these JST-XH terminals is 22awg, but I use 24 🤦‍♂️. I can't imagine it wouldn't work with 24, though...
