Hey everyone!
Here’s my first build report—please go easy on me!
The Build:
This was my 7th build, and by far the most complex at the time. While I initially wanted to tackle something like this early on, I’m glad I waited a bit. I was a little intimidated at first, but once I got the first few components in place, the rest was smooth sailing.
The Sound:
A lot of my favorite guitarists use a Klon, and I’ve always loved their tone. I’ve tried a few Klon-inspired pedals in the past, but they always felt like something was missing. The Kliche nails that tone really well. While I didn’t use "mojo" parts for the ultimate in toanz, it still sounds fantastic. It went straight onto my pedalboard and has quickly become a go-to pedal.
The Art:
I’m not really into centaurs—they freak me out. How do they wear pants? Is it just the bottom legs? All four? I digress.
Being from the Denver area, we have Blucifer, a creepy, demonic blue stallion with glowing red eyes at the Denver International Airport. It actually fell and killed the artist that made it! While searching for art for this build, I found a local artist who had a My Little Pony-style version of Blucifer—less intimidating. I reached out to the artist, and they kindly gave me the go-ahead to use it.
A friend wants one as well, I plan on giving him this one and doing another just like it with the exception of moving the led to make the glowing red eyes of Bluecifer.
