Kliche Overdrive - The volume knob Stays active while the pedal is off

Hey guys! I am new to pedal building and I need some help here.

I just builded one of the Kliche kit and for some reason, no matter if the pedal is on or off, the volume stay active. Basically if I turn of the pedal and roll the volume down it will cut the signal and if I move up it will boost the signal. I already took the entire thing apart and put it back together over and over, I isolate all the possible ground loops and did jumper test everywhere. I am out of ideas.

any one had something similar happening that can give me a different rout to try?

Can you check the resistance across R28 and R29? The stripe that should be orange looks red in the pic for both. (Thought stripe color in pictures is tough).

If it is red, then they would be 6.8k instead of 68k. That could maybe explain that they isolating the bypass from the effect of the volume pot


Edit - dang it never mind red stripe would be correct (68k)

have you checked for any shorts at your footswitch? Make sure there’s no stray wires touching or too much solder underneath that could be causing an issue.

I had the same problem with a switch, the hot solder ran down and caused a short. I solder every switch tab just on two points where the tab is near to the board.
