SOLVED Low Tide issues

I know that these things are notoriously tricky to dial in, but I’ve got some issues with this that I haven’t read about in other threads.

Most of the time it doesn’t pass any signal, but at certain settings it’ll almost work for a second if I hit the strings hard. If I turn the mix down it allows the dry signal to go through, and the boost works.

Any thoughts on this? I used another presoldered J201 instead of the 2SK208-Y, but other than that, all the parts should be correct. Another set of eyes would be appreciated just in case I did something dumb like install a component backwards or something.

Turn the amplifier volume down to reasonable level, because it might get loud, pedal on, led should be on, gate and mix to minimum and level to max. hit the strings hard. Does the dry signal get better? ajusting the mix ans gate one at a time might help.
Edit: Dip SW 1 OFF, 2 ON

Trying to figure out if it's a problem with your j201 sub. If the dry sounds louder at these settings it might be ok, if it doesnt replace the j201 with the recommended transistor.

Then move on to debug the wet mix

I have been using ChatGPT to try to help troubleshoot this, and it’s indicating that the problem is related to the left leg of R60 shorting to ground. I know that ChatGPT is not infallible, so I wanted to check with the human community. Does this seem like a plausible explanation?

I have been reflowing and cleaning up solder joints all over this board, but it is incredibly tedious and easy to miss something.
