From a purely theoretical point of view, the order of two series components does not matter. The currents in R8 and C4 are always equal, no matter the order. There are practical reasons, pertaining to the PCB layout and stray coupling, that favor putting R8 as close to IC1 pin 2 as possible. In that case, the order used in the Eternal Burst is preferred,
Since LTSpice operates in the theoretical realm, either order produces the exact same results.
The R2 & C2 values in the Eternal Burst provide a little more gain and a little more bottom-end, compared to the R8 & C4 values in the LGSM. Lovepedal tweaked all of the tone shaping in the EB.
