Magic 6 (Janray clone - stripboard content)

I don’t post lots of stripboard work around here, but I got myself a spool of Remington wire and oh boy, I’m really impressed and spoiled by it’s quality, great stuff! So I made one of these to try it out and here is the result, it’s a Janray with assym/symetric clipping awitch, sounds really nice!

The enclosures are custom made to my specs here in Brasil, it’s the same size as a 125b but as tall as a Strymon, I’l check the exact size and post about it here

I do recall now, you've mentioned before in other posts that you get the enclosures local to you (mentioning the size joggled my memory);
imports are expensive in Brazil (which is how VW do Brazil came to be, Willys Overland do Brasil, etc).

I wonder if I bulk ordered some of your enclosures, would it be any cheaper getting them from Brasil than getting it from China, Taiwan, etc?

A "125B" is just a 1590N1, give or take a millimetre — should just call them all "N1"s.

125B Height = 38.5mm [according to Mammoth Datasheet]
1590 N1's H = 39.8mm [according to Hammond Datasheet]

Strymon-height? No idea. I don't know anything about Strymon.

I'd love to try it but have no air brushing gear and honestly don't think I have the painting ability to make it look like anything other than a complete mess.

I've wanted an airbrush since I was 7, saw Big Daddy Roth painting T-shirts at the World of Wheels car show.
I almost finally pulled the trigger last winter, but... I'm no artist.

BTW the painting job wasn’t made by me, I live in a apartment so I always send my enclosures to be painted in a paintshop nearby

Yeah, importing here in Brasil is really crazy expensive, but so it is to ship from here to USA, whenever I ship to USA it ranges from 35 to 80 USD for 1-2 pedals, so I don’t think it will be worthy for the enclosures

My painting skills are non existent. That's why I still go for powder coated enclosures, decals and resin.
