Do you know this Mathis Audio Tech OD Texas Tone? It sounds very interesting if you like sound Steve Ray Vaughan style, or Jimi Hendrix.

To be honest, 90% of the great tone you hear on pedal demos are the awesome amp they're using. A Timmy is great, but it's only putting some nice icing on top of a great cake. Try a Timmy through a shit amp and it'll still sound shit.

That marketing blurb is something else. It almost makes me want to get into the pain which is pedal building.. the Sheepylove Honesty line.. this is a Timmy with a slightly different EQ, because you want a Timmy but you want a different name on the label.
That is so true of most demos! Running a drive pedal into a distorted amp (and it’s NOT a clean tone no matter how many times Mr YouTube demo guy says it is) reflects more about the amp than the pedal.
