I wouldn't compare these 2 circuits, first time I have heard of the Guyatone mentioned!

Yeah I definitely love the Aion Meridian I built a while back. Ton of fun being able to dial between even/odd harmonics for solos

IC1 - IC4 OP1678 is only available in SOIC-8 SMD package.
A through-hole adapter pictured above can be used, or a low-noise dual opamp with similar specs can be used as a substitute.
