I'm pretty sure this was a freebie because I don't remember ordering it and I'm not a huge eqd guy. I did happen to grab a single AC176 when ordering some other things so I socketed just in case I received a dud but it sounded great right away. I didn't feel the need to investigate any further.
As a bassist, I don't have much use for the tone knob since it behaves like an hpf but that's my only gripe with it. With the tone dimed it has some low end but it's not an exceptional fuzz for bass. Lots of great guitar nastiness in here though.
