Muzzle with sidechain and 3-pin mono jack?

Hi,

I'am building a Muzzle Noisegate with sidechain and only have 3-pin mono jacks with switched sleeve. Do I have to buy a different jack or can I build the sidechain with my switched sleeve mono jack?

Looks like you need a jack with a switched tip.

What does the pinout on your jacks look like? Generally non-switched jacks are 2 pin mono and 3 pin stereo. If you have mono jacks with 3 pins you either have a switched tip or a shunt to ground, of which you don't use the shunt to ground on this build. If you have to buy new jacks I recommend you get some low profile mono for Key Through, FX In, and FX Out and low profile switched mono for Key In. You will also need to use isolated plastic for the side chain to avoid ground loops. I like using these when space is at a premium: Neutrik Part #: NRJ6HF-1
