MXR Yngwie Malmsteen overdrive...

You know it had never occurred to me that there is anyone out there that hasn't heard of Van Halen. This is a bigger reality check than I care to admit. My folks turned me on to people like Chet Atkins, Floyd Kramer and Herb Alpert and all the big band stuff before that so I had a view of the past growing up that I just assumed everyone had. It's also occurred to me that I have little knowledge of anything beyond 2015 so I've been slacking.

I have some catching up to do.

1981! “Jump” patient zero! ;)
Mtv played loverboy one summer so often it drove us bonkers. There was no skip or fast forward. We were only allowed in the house for a short time before we were shucked out into the 90 -100 degree humid weather. We would play guitar which I retrospect was probably why we had to go back outside... we were really just waiting for 7 or so tho go drop in on the local 1/2 pipe that moved every couple of months Duty to neighbor complaints. I feel better now. 80's life was had, lol

All you Yngwie haters are just jealous that you can’t do high kicks whilst shredding.

Also, his song “Crying” is great.

But I think the moral of this whole debacle is that the OG pedals are all you need.
I CAN SO do high kicks while shredding.

But then I might need help getting up again.
