My First Pedal Build and Most Recent

So, I finished up a 'Doxie' this morning. Does what I want, 'Fendery' clean! Will breakup with more gain of course. Here are photos of it and my first build from about 1969. Probably mid-70's I tore into it to ostensibly make it better. I honestly don't remember. Replaced the diodes. And the transistors with ECG 123A's. I replaced the switch. Don't remember why. May have broken. Looks like proper jacks and some wires and it's good to go. Also built a Knight Kit Monaural tube hi-fi amp about the same time. 100_0375.JPG 100_0376.JPG

The photo says it all, it's a fuzz tone. Probably one of the first kits ever offered for such things! I built it when I was a teen-ager. I think after trying to make it work better(years later) I needed an audio jack and just removed one. I left the pedal in a non-fuctional state. It's been that way for many years. I hadn't built another pedal until March of last year, but I've built lots of electronic projects for work and personal use since the early 70's. My area of study and expertise is Electrical Engineering, though I did technician work for most of my employed years.
