New guitar! (soon)

My wife got me a D'Angelico Premier Bedford semihollow

Exactly what I am looking for, a non standard looking guitar with a single coil in the neck (looking for that Strat neck sound) and some versatility. Unfortunately when they delivered it, i discovered some very heavy fret buzz in different spots in different frets... looks like the neck is twisted so I'm sending it back and ordering it from another store.
But in the meantime I discovered this one:
Guild Surfliner deluxe

Similar price point, similar pickup configuration

Does anyone have any experience with either of these guitars? Or other suggestions in the under 800 price point?

Check out Eastwood guitars if you haven't already. Musicgoround here in the states has a few used ones.
But they make some of the most unique body's out there. I've played a couple in MGR stores. The two unplayed had vintage C necks, which I(and my arthritis) don't care for, but they definitely had their own sound.
Some of the builds are very tiesco like. See:

It's like a Tiesco Jag-SG. Insanity.
That's the SD-40, $749

Here the LG 150T, $699 Mosrite inspired

Some of the new Aria electrics are intriguing as well.

Damn those are gorgeous
Can't find them anywhere in Italy though

Reverends are fantastic guitars. I don’t think they make any with single coils that don’t look like a Tele or a Strat. Best you can get is P90s. Where in Italy are you? I’m from Rome.

They ship to Europe for free. But dropping that money on a model you've never played is risky...
Gotta feel it.
Reverend makes some really unique models. I know Guitarguitar in the UK stocks them.
reverend are great beautiful but a bit out of my current price range...
I'll check out the Eastwood shop, thanks

I'm from Bologna (not in the city though)
There are a couple of great shops here but they don't have what I tend to like

In the meantime I discovered that Thomann is selling the D'Angelico Bedford in blue and pink for 498€... I think we might have a winner with the blue

I'd never seen the D before, that's really pretty. Sorry you got a bummed one. I've done some service on D's, Eastwoods, and Revs. The first Eastwoods I saw were a bit iffy but the build quality on them since is very nice. Rev's are very nice and I had a chance to do a level/crown on a fellow forum-ite and was very impressed with the build quality and the materials. The Mid-west in America is hard on guitars and this one required minimal work to get it to optimal (and I just love pushing a good guitar to great). The Rivolta is the sexy that Yamaha Revstars want to be

Yeah Eastwood, Reverend, and Baúm too, are all great guitars with some eye catching looks
Unfortunately my budget is lower, I am definitely not a great guitarist and I've been playing the same Ibanez Jet King II for close to 20 years (amazing guitar for the price, if you can find a used one get it!)
