New VFE Indiegogo - get custom parts available to the masses

So, I open up YouTube a bit ago to find the Macy's parade and I see a new set of VFE videos posted 5 hours ago. One caught my eye:

Apparently Peter has opened a new Indiegogo campaign to help get all the "custom" parts available to the masses. StompBoxParts is gonna have the weird pots he uses. PedalParts Plus will get updated templates for pre-driled enclosures. Madbean will hopefully get updated PCBs versions. And the best part in my mind, if he pulls at least 15K, the hex for the SPS microcontrollers can get licensed for release.

Help VFE Pedals make DIY available to everyone

If nothing else, a bundle of the Motherload pack of design files, an SMD loaded SPS board, and a non-Klein Bottle PCB are available for $25.

I have found his designs interesting, the Klein bottle particularly, but I never felt the need to buy anything. I don’t recall ever seeing a post of people looking for or needing the special parts and in the campaign i saw it would be delayed a year at least for some rewards due to the specific charge pump he is choosing to use instead of a jelly bean one. I like the guy but I don’t really get the gift to DIY angle this is going for. It seems more like a fundraiser for his classroom than anything.

100%, that is all this is and will continue to be. We pay so he can teach kids STEM. I was just throwing this out there.

I was going to buy some pots and follow the AionFX's instructions to make the custom ones needed. He already sent some pots to SBP, so now I just need to get the MCUs and I can build a Klein Bottle or several. Well, gotta get the PCBs made but still. JLPCB wants ~$36 for 5, so that's not bad. OSHPark wants ~$170 for 3.

The KB uses custom dual gang C10k/C100k for the 6 top row HPF/LPF knobs.
You can get those made at Omeg with a probable minimum order of ten and the lead time was right at a month the last time I ordered from them. Not sure if they come in a size smaller than 20mm for that format though, and they definitely won't be cheap, probably in the $12-15 apiece range after shipping to the US unless prices have gone up recently. It's a very old school British company and I always get a kick out of ringing them up to pay.

StompboxParts has them for $1.15 a piece. But good to know there is another option.
