Newbie question - what does "GE" mean?

Hi guys, newbie question. I am doing my shopping list for the Muffin Factory https://docs.pedalpcb.com/project/PedalPCB-MuffinFactory-Rev1.pdf and I have come to Diode 3 which is GE. There is no schematic for this build so I was wondering what does GE mean?

Germanium diode. You can use 1N270, 1N34A, D9E, etc.
