Hell yeah Wes!
One of the first proper jazz records that I can remember reaching for as a kid. Already a few years of middle school big band brass playing under my belt, I thought of jazz mostly in that context. The idea that jazz was actually cool was jarring.Hell yeah Wes!
I wish they played the Christmas songs you posted at my job…

I grew up on vinyl, and then CDs replaced them, and I had to swap everything out for digital, and now vinyl us back?? - I give up!I’m not cool enough for vinyl yet but I am hunting for a nice old turntable.
Lately it’s been CKY, Doja Cat and uh... the Backyardigans![]()
I feel like vinyl has come back since the 90’s, but I have given up on CDs only in the late 2000s.I grew up on vinyl, and then CDs replaced them, and I had to swap everything out for digital, and now vinyl us back?? - I give up!
Love Tal. This is my favourite of her songs so far:
That's killin'. I saw her playing with Marcus Miller on the same bass at a NAMM booth in 2007, and have been a big fan ever since. I hear a little bit of an Eberhard Weber vibe in her bass tone and phrasing on that clip, very cool.Love Tal. This is my favourite of her songs so far:
Specifically this version - the album version is way overproduced and quite terrible by comparison. I want that whole album with this treatment.
