NPN Tone Vendor MKII

I want to build a Tone Vendor MKII, but using NPN transistors
I tried to find some info on the forum, but apart from Joe’s thread on the Gnat Mod, I couldn’t really find what I was looking for.
Is it as simple as removing the voltage regulator IC, bridging pin 5 and 8, and removing C5?
I’m guessing the electrolytic caps will also have to go in reverse.

I probably have missed many things, thanks for your time and help.

Yup. Ditch the charge pump and related components and flip all the electros.

If you haven’t bought it already, I’d be happy to send you one of my spare Universal boards.

So, forego the IC and both C5 and C6? Do I need to bridge some pads of the IC?

while probably not relevant to your interests at this point, it was easy to build on the carbon black pcb by just omitting the tone control
